SHEIKH MANSOOR FESTIVAL NEWS
Wathba Stallions Cup For Private Owners Only race

Omani Apprentice trainer Saif Al Balushi scored an exciting win on Madjanthis in the Wathba Stallions Cup For Private Owners Only race at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club racecourse and attributed his current success to the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival.

Nearer last than first throughout the first two thirds of the 1200 metre handicap aboard Madjanthis, Al Balushi did not panic and unleashed his mount with a withering late challenge to lead close home and deny Harry Bentley aboard Es Fatek. Trained by Ernst Oertel, Madjanthis was recording a sixth career win.

That is actually two more than his young jockey Al Balushi. The Omani Apprentice said, “Thanks to the support of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Presidential Affairs and his Festival, I spent six months in Newmarket at the apprentice school and learned a lot. This is my third winner this season, on just my eighth ride so I have to be very happy with that. Hopefully there will be more to follow.”
