SHEIKH MANSOOR FESTIVAL NEWS
Eleven in fray for HH Sheikha Lateefa Pony race in Deauville, France on Sunday

“The race is open to riders aged 10 to 14 and the most successful in pony races governed by the FFE in 2018. The race is open to ponies selected="true" by the ANPG (Association Nationale Les Poneys au Galop) that are known for their ease and quality to run a consistent race”, a French official said.

Ms. Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, Chairperson of the International Federation of Horse Racing Academies (IFHRA) and Chairperson of Ladies & Apprentice Racing Committees in the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing Authorities (IFAHR) said the series, which was launched earlier in the season, has attracted a lot of response.

“The winner of this Deauville leg of the HH Sheikha Lateefa Bint Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan International Pony championship race will join the other winners in the championship final to be held in November in Abu Dhabi,” she added.

“We have already staged three legs of this race series and have three winners of the Madrid, Stockhom and Bucharest races,” Ms Sawaya said.

The HH Sheikh Mansoor Festival is being held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

Ms Sawaya said, “The year 2018 is the Year of Zayed as UAE marks the 100th birth anniversary of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and also marks the 10th anniversary of the Festival.”
